Knowledge of locking principle of thread sealant
Ruilangda is one of the manufacturers of anaerobic adhesives and sealants (thread locking agents, curing agents, pipeline sealants, and sealing adhesives), cyanoacrylate (instant adhesives), acrylic and UV cured adhesives (glass adhesives). ?
Thread locking agent was born in a laboratory in Connecticut, USA in 1953 and has a history of nearly 70 years. We often share some mechanical and manual videos, and people exclaim that the bonding glue is particularly magical. The research on adhesives in the past 70 years tells us that magic comes from the accumulation of countless cases. In 1997, it was acquired by Ruilangda, and now we encounter the brand Ruilangda on the market.
Anaerobic thread sealant (pipeline sealant) is very suitable for filling the space between metal threads. By filling the gap between threads with adhesive force, it maintains friction, prevents vibration loosening, lubricates threads to avoid biting, and seals to prevent corrosion. For anaerobic adhesives and sealants to cure, they require the presence of metal ions and the absence of oxygen. This may sound simple, but there are some issues that may affect the curing of thread sealant.

Pipe thread sealant in contact with metal
Paint and coatings such as PTFE tape can prevent contact between metal and thread sealant. This makes it difficult for the sealant to cure and may lead to leakage.
If the gap exceeds 0.5 millimeters (0.020 inches), the sealant at the center of the gap may be difficult to cure. The sealant is not close enough to metal curing. You should always check the maximum gap on the product data sheet.

Pipeline sealant can cover metal ions. The pipe joint sealed with low strength sealant can be disassembled. You can use a hot air gun or a blowing gun to heat the parts, which makes it easier to disassemble. Before reapplying, the pipe joints should be cleaned with a wire brush.
Lack of contact with oxygen
When the thread sealant is contained in the thread, oxygen is excluded. Here are some tips for using anaerobic pipe sealant on parallel and tapered pipe joints.
Parallel to the pipeline joint
Apply sealant to the front edge of the male component.
Cone to parallel pipe joint
Apply a few threads backwards from the leading edge of the male component to ensure maximum contact. In both applications, some excess sealant should still be seen after tightening. This ensures comprehensive coverage and no leakage. Excess sealant can be wiped off. Anaerobic thread sealant should be cured inside the joint. This guide applies to all anaerobic adhesives and sealants used for thread locking, fixing, and FIP liners.
